Utica, MS is a small community in west central Mississippi. They’ve recently received a new permit for their wastewater lagoons that requires lower ammonia levels in their effluent than they’ve been able to achieve historically. Mr. Gearhart of Utica discovered the Bio-Dome technology at the 2012 WEFTEC conference in New Orleans requested a proposal from WCS to see if the Bio-Domes might be a cost effective solution for Utica. After seeing that the Bio-Domes offered the most cost effective solution available, Utica then requested the delivery of our warm weather pilot unit to gather on-site data to get approval from the MS Department of Environmental Quality.
