Ammonia continues to be no match for WCS’ Bio-Domes. Recent data from an installation site in Kremmling, Colorado has further validated the ability of the Bio-Domes to remove ammonia in cold temperatures. In mid-2013, 50 Bio-Domes were installed in Kremmling’s lagoons. This mountain town experiences long, cold winters due to its high elevation of 7300 feet. After an extensive 1.5 year trial, data from Kremmling has shown that WCS’ Bio-Domes were able to remove ammonia at levels required by the state down to water temperatures as cold as 1 degree Celsius.
